Crystal Clear

"Just like 'Cellophane' and 'Right to My Head,' we wanted a really big chorus on this one. I was listening a lot to Achtung Baby at the time, and I was clued into the fact that I love these simple but grand emotional statements. Songs like 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses' and 'Mysterious Ways' played a big part in writing 'Crystal Clear.' It's about coming out one place and into another, and feeling good about what I'm doing. The slide guitar solo was inspired by George Harrison; All Things Must Pass is definitely one of my top ten records of all time."
